My room! We got a room with a view of machinery that constantly made noise. We had no natural light in our room so we left the curtains closed the whole stay. We had requested a room on a high floor with a city view, if possible, we got the exact opposite. The WiFi was very inconsistent and the elevators service was poor

The position is very convenient, less than 15 minutes from Times Square on foot and near a metro station.
Negatives:
The cleaning is not good and in the weekend nights you feel very noisy in the room if it faces the street. The entrance to the building is not controlled.

Some towels were old and had running threads… some of the pillow case and bed linen were tattered and torn… time to buy some new linen?
The ventilation in bathroom would switch on automatically with the lights and it was so loud that the loud noise alert on my Apple Watch would be activated every time I switched on the lights… in other hotels there are separate switches for the lights and ventilator.

Positives:
The location is amazing, in the middle of the city, has a quickly access to all Midtown neighborhood. The bed is very fine to have a good relaxing night. It has coffee for free at lower level of the hotel.
Negatives:
The room is too small, but it's not a problem at all. There is too much noisy coming from other rooms, specially the bathroom tube, it's a serious issue if you have low sleep.

Good time, in a perfect...
Positives:
The location was perfect for me, a couple of blocks from Penn/Moynihan rail station. The room was spotless with what looked like a fairly new bathroom renovation. There was no problem with elevator times that some reviewers reported. Price was at least $100 less than other (decently reviewed) hotels in the area.
Negatives:
My room (505) looked out on an air shaft with no fewer than 10 constantly running exhaust fans a couple of floors below. I wear hearing aids so the noise was bearable for sleeping, but it would be wise for people with normal hearing to avoid the x03 to x06 numbered rooms.

Location is perfect and room comfortable. We chose the one with a terrace and it was a huge added-value (cannot get a better view of the Empire State!). Staff very friendly and helpful when needed. Overall really satisfied

Positives:
The location of the hotel is perfect. You're right in the heart of Manhattan and nothing is too far away, even on foot. Things like The Times Square and The Empire State Building are literally just minutes away. The Wall Street with its Charging Bull is about an hour away on foot, for comparison, and that is not terrible at least not for me. Room was totally alright, yes one might say it' a bit dated or whatever but I do not care about that stuff - my main thing is always cleanliness and this room was 100% clean. Easy and fast check-in and check-out. Prior to booking I also read quite a few reviews where people are complaining that rooms are too small - I had a room with two queen beds, very comfortable for the company of 4 I was in. It's a hotel room, not a penthouse, plus we were in the room only to sleep over (5 nights in total) and have a shower.
If you need 24 hour parking, look up the 109-111 W 31st St Garage, it was $45 per day, very reasonable for New York City.
Negatives:
Would've enjoyed if there was a small fridge and a microwave. One eats around and then brings leftovers to the room so if there was a fridge to keep them in for longer, and a microwave for reheating, would've been a true benefit. I'd trade the TV (that I never watch anyway) for the two any time.
