The room carpet was stained and smelled weird.
Also the bathroom only had 1 adult bath towel with a room booked for 2 adults.
Also the shower bodywash and shampoo could of been of a better brand.

The interior is dated and does not feel very fresh. The staff is not very friendly, no hello, good morning, nothing. The last lady that checked us out was very nice though.

Great location with an ok...
Positives:
The 7 is mostly due to the location which is absolutely fantastic. The hotel itself I would say was ‘okay’ for the price (everything else was fully booked due to the copa america). Only 1 staff member was actually helpful (dominican guy, can’t recall the name), thank you for being the only person in the hotel that cares about customer service. Also, he recommended a taxi to the airport that charged us half the uber price.
Negatives:
1. My first problem: wifi DID NOT work at ALL and I had to work so this was a major issue. I literally had to work from the lobby the first day. The third time we complained, they acknowledged ‘that whole side’ had connectivity issues so they moved us to the other tower.. and the room was half the size but I didn’t want to lose any more energy so I left it at that. So if wifi is important, make sure to let them know you have to work when you’re checking in.
2. The first room (at the wifi-less side) was also quite aged, which I didn’t care that much about except the AC was the loudest appliance I’ve seen in my life, ridiculously loud. Also, no nightstand which wasn’t ideal. The other side of the hotel seems slightly renovated.
3. Water pressure. First room, it would cut through glass. It actually hurt. Second room barely any pressure but at that point I was thankful I wasn’t getting water tattooed any more.
4. This is probably a New York/America issue but the tipping expectations are out of control. The first morning housekeeping knocks on my door, I explain I was sleeping, they proceed to tell me I had to open the door anyway (???) and they hand me a ‘Do not disturb’ sign to hang outside while they look at me like you’re welcome. Just couldn’t believe it.
4. Frosted glass door (and wall) in a bathroom? Why
Overall though, it wasn’t the worst experience, it is an okay hotel, you just have to wisely select your priorities to understand which tower is the best match for you.

Very quiet and comfortable location. Good value for money. Has all the basics. Housekeeping staff were very friendly.
Negatives:
Reception staff can be a bit more helpful. We did not know until our 4th day staying there that you can get ice. We only checked in and were given our room cards. There was no appropriate explanation on how WiFi works etc.

Would recommend for a couple...
Positives:
My room had windows that overlooked a street very close to Central Park. You really can't beat the location. I stayed here due to a flight cancellation, and the staff were very helpful when I had to extend my stay due to last minute cancellations.
Last, their convenient store is very convenient!
Negatives:
Like anywhere in Manhattan, it is not the cheapest place to stay. However, for Manhattan their rates were competitive.
