The location was the only decent thing about the hotel.

We paid for a view and we got exactly the opposite we were on the 7th floor with a view of construction. The value for money was a total rip off. Never again.

Great location, close to WTC, Battery Park, TriBeCa, FiDi, etc. The area is relatively quiet comparatively to most of Manhattan and really close to major transportation hubs.
The apartment was spacious, clean, well equipped and with fabulous views of the WTC area. I really enjoyed my stay at The Washington!

Positives:
The overall impression of the stay at the hotel was very good. Great location, unique view from the window, rooms cleaned daily, towels changed regularly, ironing board and iron available in the room, Luggage storage is available but charges apply at $2 per bag.
Negatives:
On the first day of my stay I reported a failure of the safe. The electronic combination lock did not work. It was not repaired for the whole week. One day there was a failure of the elevators, which forced us to use the service elevator. Unfortunately, the waiting time for the service elevator was up to 10 minutes. I would have gone down the stairs from the 22nd floor faster.

Positives:
The location is great, not much to do at night but is quiet and lots to do by the day, close to the subway station
Negatives:
The front desk staff are the worst and rude, the bathroom ceiling had mold the light switch was broken,
We had to change rooms 3 times, at the end they gave us another room which she said this is your last option is this one or leave the hotel and the room didn't have fridge nor trash bags, but my daughter was tired and we decided to stay, the hotel needs lots of work starting with the staff, don't know what hospitality means I will never go back, there are better hotels in that area, better deals and some also include breakfast

Location! Very nice view from the window. Many restaurants and cafes around. Comfortable beds. Modern building. Quiet and comfortable.
Negatives:
No breakfast. No parking. Not possible to book another night at reception (only online booking via 3d party providers is available). Bathroom needs to be repaired (not everything, but some points).
