Location, good breakfast, room size
Negatives:
Our room was not ready at 4;00 pm check in time. We waited 1.5 hours . The room was beautiful and spacious plus well located near the Niagara Falls location .
It was totally impractical with only one electrical outlet that stayed on, however.
It did not have enough electrical outlets in safe areas and I had to ask for and extension cord to plug in cpap machine .The cord had to literally run through the middle of the walking area.
We then asked for a towel to cover the cord to keep from stumbling ,and they said we would have to come get the towel.
We got No room service the next day. At 5:00 pm someone brought us some towels. At 5:30 am and no one else in line, It took us 25 minutes to check out on a bill that had already been paid ! The staff was incompetent.

Location was a block away from everything- parking was secure, felt safe and rooms were very comfortable- loved the robes! Could see fireworks from the sky lounge

Great place at an awesome...
Positives:
The location was great, was able to walk to most places and able to walk across to Canada.
Negatives:
Communication was quite poor. I emailed the hotel about 2 months in advance to request a room with a view. On arrival our room looked out onto the wall of the hotel next door. I asked about a room change to be told it was not possible. The staff just seemed to be uninterested.
Bathrobes, slippers, and chocolates are advertised when booking. However, these were not in the room. On asking was told they no longer did these.
Breakfast was poor, eating off plastic plates with plastic knives forks and spoons. For a hotel that claims to be Eco, there is a lot of plastic waste.
I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again.

Positives:
Room was beautiful and VERY comfortable. Views were very nice. To anyone who hasn't been to the Falls, I think the NY side has the better views and parks of the falls but as far as dinner, attractions and shopping you'll want to go over the Canada which is great because you can see the border crossing from your room at The Giacomo

Breakfast was sub par but honestly, it's a free hotel Breakfast don't go looking for gourmet meals

I liked the proximity of the hotel to the Niagara Falls and the excellent breakfast.
Negatives:
The immediate neighborhood is a depressed zone with very few restaurants and cafés. If you venture a bit away fromt he hotel, you will find a lot of boarded up houses and a school that has recently closed down. Even the hotel across from the Giacomo had been closed down and had seen better days.

Commode handle had to be giggled to stop water flow. And not enough light at mirror in wash room.

Positives:
Absolutely loved staying at this hotel with my wife and our Shiba Inu pet! We stayed in town so we can see the Falls and the location for the hotel was perfect to get to it and the state park. The room had ample space for us and the bathroom was clean with a cool tub that sadly we didn’t get a chance to use.
Negatives:
I think the location of the television in the room was off center and awkward in the corner of the room. Aside from that everything else for the hotel was good
