Tarrytown House Estate on the Hudson

Negatives: I wrote a lengthy email that I sent to the manager. Hopefully, he will address the issues. It involved an accumulation of maintenance issues that one should not experience when paying almost $300 for a night.

Negatives: The door locks were being replaced, but I was told that would be done in August. The Sauna was not working properly - not hot enough.

Negatives: We were very excited about the reservation as it was going to be a nice stop along the way for our business travel. Based on the reviews I was willing to spend a little more and stay in a nice place. Well, I was wrong! We arrived late in the evening, I asked for a late check-out, and I was told 12pm, which I appreciate. Leaving the lobby the attendant told us to turn left the get to our building. Getting lost in the dark, we found the caretaker who was confused about us driving because there was no parking by the building! Something the front desk person neglected to let me know. So now we had to track our bags and equipment across the grounds. The room was clean but only equipped with one very small nightstand/a table between the beds, which none of us could reach. The decor was ridiculous, but that's just me, but the place felt tired and forgotten in time. The indoor pool was closed with a strange sign to call management but no phone no# was posted. So now, do remember when the front desk person told us we could stay until 12? Well, they started to call the room at 1130!! To kick us out and threaten us with extra charges if we don't leave right now. I travel a lot for business and pleasure, I worked for the Hilton for many years and never had staff be so rude about late checkout. Definitely will not be back!

Negatives: beds too soft. Breakfast too expensive

Negatives: Tv was streaming only. I wanted to watch network tv. No option provided.

Negatives: What's not to like?

Negatives: Poor communication skills of staff Poor parking accommodations Hilly Extremely expensive Amenities located away from rooms No handicap accessibility

Negatives: Nowhere near cafes or restaurants. Photos on the website were misleading. Would not stay there again.

Negatives: We booked a room in the mansion and when we arrived there was a power issue in the room. We were given a suite in another building and give a free night but the suite was mediocre at best and definitely not up to par with the room we had originally planned to stay in.

Negatives: Very dated needs lots of updating A/C did not work in our room Many of us experienced problems with our keys multiple times Difficult for older people and handicapped to get around because facility is sprawling. Expensive drinks at cash bar Parking lot very far away when the closer one is closed to valet parking for restaurant Walls very thin thus very noisy Limited television options Hot water took a long time

Negatives: Honestly there was nothing we liked about this property. It was extremely in need of a TOTAL RENNOVATION and was old, outdated not to mention chipped paint in many areas, mismatched wallpaper, outdated fixtures, rugs that did not meet at door, water stains, cold faucet in bathroom dripping, no valet service. THIS WAS A TOTAL RIP OFF FOR $264.00 A ROOM...DISGRACEFUL TO CHARGE THIS AMOUNT. We were there for a one evening special event in the area and did not have time to leave and find another location but we did notify booking.com immediately to express our concerns. We also had out of town guests in another room and were quite embarrased by this property overall. The Castle Hotel and Spa down the road which was not available, is a top location from head to toe as we have stayed there many times and their rate was $219.00 as opposed to this overly priced unacceptable location. The hotel has ignored requests from booking.com and have not made ANY ATTEMPT TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER.

Negatives: had to leave with in two hours, I got a very bad asthma attack do to th air, rug and bedding. Very bad experience. Had to drive two hours back home.
