The hotel is very impressive when you arrive, especially during the evening when it's all lit up. The lobby is very nice in an old school way and the staff was friendly when checking in/out. I didn't eat there but the dinning area also looked nice and clean.
Negatives:
The money was definitely spent on the entrance and lobby area. It's an old hotel and very dated, which normally isn't an issue but there was construction areas and the room wasn't worth the price.

Really enjoyed the ambiance of the place and stepping into another world essentially.
Negatives:
Some aspects were dated. The building was warm and the air musty.
Carpet of the main lobby and hallways were pretty old so as a first time guest, I was a bit nervous of my room.
Once I got in my room though, I was very pleased.
