Positives: The staff was beyond exceptional. Everyone was very friendly and informative. The lady at the front desk when I arrived was an absolute pleasure to deal with. If I ever go back to Raleigh I will be booking a room there. Breakfast buffet was phenomenal. The area was fantastic! I felt very safe in the hotel, you needed your key card to use the elevator and to get in after hours.

Negatives: There really was not anything I did not like. I have no complaints.

Positives: The overall feel and location was good. The rooftop terrace restaurant and lounge was great.

Negatives: The furnishings in the room were a bit tired. Housekeeping never came by to see if there was anything we needed or if we wanted our room cleaned.

Positives: Everything with the hotel itself and the staff was perfect.

Negatives: However, I was very disappointed in the exorbitant pet fee charged. Several hotels where I stay charge no fee at all (Aloft, Embassy Suites) so when I saw the notification that person were welcome and "there may be a fee " I mistakenly assumed it would be reasonable. $150 extra is not reasonable at all, and while the stay was otherwise perfect, I would never stay in a Marriott again with my pet or on my own if other reasonable options are available. Just say pets aren't allowed if the charge is so much as to actually be punitive.
