Everything was great including the...
Positives:
Comfort, cleanliness, open pool and hot tub
Negatives:
Your "corporate" office sent me a text (days after I'd paid for our room in advance) telling me guests "must wear masks in public areas" in the hotel. Corporate wrote this mandate was "worldwide" in Hampton Inns. Your staff in Alliance knew of "no such order" and we're not wearing masks. Please get your act together and notify guests (and employees) of rules changes before, not after, they commit! Had the mask thing been true, we would NOT have chosen Hampton.
Also, can you make provision for guests without pets to stay in "pet-free" rooms? I don't even want to think about what pets have done on the bed and couch in my room -- no matter how clean or perfumed your housekeeping gets it. Please respond to both constructive criticisms.

The staff were extremely understanding and sympathetic. I spoke to both the front desk overnight check in and the manager Becky and both replied to my complaint in a swift manner. Overall, I was pleased with the customer service.
Negatives:
The bathroom toilet was running as I entered the room. I quickly discovered that the toilet was broken and would not flush. I walked back up to the check in desk and learned the only option for myself, my elderly mother, and five year old granddaughter was to use the hall bathroom since the hotel was booked to capacity. This was unacceptable!!!
