La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Sandusky near Cedar Point

Negatives: The room was freezing cold,the mirror in the bathroom had black marks all over it,the heater controls had some hair on the controls,the toilet had bathroom remnants of a previous occupant, the bathroom door had damage along with the entrance door into the room,tv had 2 remotes and had no explanation on how to use them and had to take about 30 minutes to try and figure it out, the check in attendant at the desk would double talk his answer,ie;yep yep, yes yes, no no,,then had a handicap room and had to walk a very long distance to get to the room in another building, then my debit/credit card was hacked with a gambling charge about 4 hours after my check in, I stayed at this facility before and it was great but this time was a stay from hell, I will never stay at LaQuinta ever again

Negatives: Heater was very loud and it rattled. It kept waking us up throughout the night. So - we did not sleep well.

Negatives: Bed was too close to the door the furniture was oddly placed in the room

Negatives: It needs upgrades only 1 jet tub worked and the essentials wasn't there like shampoo etc. No pen and pad for writing something down

Negatives: Room was a bit outdated. Horrible smell was in our room. Smelled chemically, and like burning rubber. My husband and I woke up at 3 am with sore throats, and headaches. The smell was making me nauseous. The room should have had better ventilation or warning if the smell is coming from a nearby plant which is apparently considered “normal”. (Stated lady at the front desk at checkout) This is triggering for someone who has asthma. I wanted to discuss this with the lady at the front desk and could only offer cough drops. I thought that response was a bit dismissive and unprofessional. We didn’t get a chance to have breakfast because our night was disrupted and needed to sleep in to have a safe drive home.

Negatives: There was hair left in our shower.

Negatives: Your toilets are too short. I have leg and hip issues and had to push off of the tub and sink to stand up. There are a lot of people out there who may be too tall, have issues like mine or are handicapped. Also, a grab bar at each end to get in and out of the shower would be nice. Its not just older folks that have mobility problems. Fixing these issues would make staying there a lot more pleasant.
