The family/staff were very friendly and did an amazing job. Breakfast was set up well. They were obviously remodeling, but did a great job of keeping it away from guests. That is the only reason I didn’t go with an exceptional on everything. We were in an older room, not yet done.

I booked through Booking.com. The hotel "claimed" that they couldn't find my reservation. They told me they could just treat me as a walk-up customer. As I am checking my bank account to make sure I'm not charged twice, he tells me that my debit card was declined. Odd since I was looking at the $3,500 balance in that account. I hand him my credit card ($2,000 available limit). He says it's declined. He suggested that I go get cash at an ATM. I went a block away to an ATM and used my debit card (the hotel said was declined) to withdraw more than enough cash. I worried that I was getting scammed and called the local police to see if there had been any complaints. There were quite a few from people who were also told their cards were declined and told to go get cash. Highly sketchy. Very inconvenient at 1 am when checking in. I DO NOT recommend staying here.
