Positives:
The Shower in the room was terrific. Spacious and good pressure.
Although the Bar was weirdly closed it looked incredible but we didn't get to enjoy it.
The mini fridge in the room was a nice elegant touch.
Location was amazing, close to everything and easy to access.
Negatives:
Cleanliness... The shower still had pubic hair in it. The toilet paper was half out and unrolled. The floors weren't mopped.
Facilities... The pool was closed and couldn't be used. The Bar was closed and couldn't be used. The ice machine was broken and couldn't be used and the AC in the room was subpar and took forever to work and respond.
The room the put us in was a corner room but still small and cramped. And a storm came through that night and you could constantly hear the wind howling and whistling through the windows.
Staff was very short. Tried talking to someone on the phone the day of my check in and he wouldn't give me the time of day. The evening staff was great but then the morning staff was inexperienced short and too busy talking amongst eachother to really pay attention or help.

Positives:
Aloft Hotels are always trendy and look great.
Negatives:
Luck of the draw for me; the walls seem to be toilet paper thin and there were 30-40 kids running nonstop up and down the halls, slamming doors, screaming babies, and parents oblivious to the fact that Aloft hotels are somewhat geared towards young business professionals and not daycare. I gave up at 11pm and booked at a different hotel down the road.
While I’ve never had this problem at Aloft before, I’m a little concerned with how noisy it was. I could hear people in the parking lot talking, people talking 5-6 rooms over, people below and above me, etc. I’m not sure if I want to stay at these properties again, knowing their acoustics have taken a back seat to flash and glam styling.

Positives:
The property was everything we needed for a stopover on our way back home. It was comfortable, stylish, clean, and staff was polite and courteous in our few interactions.
Negatives:
Nothing I didn’t like about the property. I always wish they had a free breakfast but that’s just not how they operate and totally fine since we made the choice to stay.
