Even though I had already responded to a text I received asking me to pre-check in and assuring me that I would only have to stop at the desk to get a key, when I arrived the desk clerk asked for my ID and my credit card so she could "charge it for the room", I explained that I had already given my card and she showed where there was a hold, but she said that she still had to charge my card. I called 3 people from corporate who were of not help, only to say that she should charge it again and the other hold would fall off in 3 to 5 business days. Her manager said that if I did not give her my card to charge, she should cancel my reservation, so after locking up my available credit I get to try and find a different hotel and pay them with ...? So I am very upset and feel I should seriously reconsider ever using a Wyndam property again.
