A wonderful hotel in Tulsa!
Positives:
Great location for walking around the city. Bed was comfortable. Parking in the garage was convenient for $10/day. Staff were helpful, especially one security guy. Dog friendly ($75 fee per stay). Coffee shop and bar/restaurant are convenient. This hotel is doing its best in an obviously old and aging building.
Negatives:
The photos of the pool are misleading; chipping paint, cheap chairs, not relaxing or aesthetic at all. I would only recommend it as a place for kids to cool off and play.
Cleanliness was okay, but there was a used Zyn packet stuck to the wall in our bathroom.
Avery looks cute, but it seemed like staff had never worked in a bar before. Bartender and manager didn’t know what sweet vermouth was. Draft lines weren’t beer and seemed like the lines were cleaned but never purged, so we were served beer flavored chemical cleaner water. Manager didn’t seem concerned or accommodating. Needs more experienced staff for a Friday night.

Room decor. Multiple cutouts to repair things, very poorly repaired drywall access panels looked very dry and unsightly. Lovely moulding, however, there were just cut outs in said mounding for the sprinlers and smoke detectors. Very poor attention to detail. The balcony door was bolted shut from the outside ?? Wt?? Really ? The furniture was well worn with Chios and scrapes and the trash cans and holders were in very sad shape. The walls were painted recently however the overall look of the room was NOT up to Hyatt standards. No attention to detail. None.
