Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland, housed in the historic Multnomah Hotel building, offers a blend of old-world charm and modern amenities. The lobby features classic decorations and a spacious mezzanine area with an adjoining Italian restaurant. Our remodeled room was quiet, spacious, and well-appointed with quality materials and instant hot water, ideal for relaxation. Although "view" rooms are available, they offer limited scenery.
The complimentary breakfast was exceptional, featuring custom-cooked omelets and a wide variety of other options. The staff was friendly and helpful, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment throughout our stay.
In conclusion, Embassy Suites offers good value with a pleasing mix of history and modern convenience. We're already looking forward to our next visit.
Negatives:
Parking is pricey at $60 for valet, but a nearby garage offers a more affordable rate at $8 during special events. The hotel's central location is close to nightlife and Voodoo Donuts, though it borders some less desirable areas of the city.
The in-hotel store's pricing was the only notable drawback, with significantly marked-up essentials.
