Positives:
The staff was super friendly and understanding of my complaints about the type of room designs chosen for this awesome location. The motorcycle parking was also awesome to get in and out of.
Negatives:
The room designs are so bad that I would suggest they rename the hotel from "Hotel Vance" to "Vance Dormitories." Or, i'd even go so far as to call it, "Vance County Jail," for those of you that have done a night or two in county jail.

The location and the fact there was a Starbucks in the lobby.

The rooms were a little sterile and not as cozy aw we're used to. The beds and bathrooms were awesome, but we like it a little more with a home feel We still had an awesome time.

The bed. Plenty of hot water in shower. Free bottles of water daily.
Negatives:
The decor. The shower with half a glass wall that lets water out on the floor. No free breakfast or coffee. Not sure why this is a 4 star hotel. It is nothing special.

The Hotel was Great. The restaurant/lounge was a little to be desired. The Vodka Martini was awful and they didn't know how to make a White Russian. When I went to pay cash for coffee I was told they didn't have any cash to make change. She just stared.

Our first night we woke up at 3am due to the smoke alarm. We were informed it was due to the batteries that needed replacement, but can only be done in the morning. We had to request for room transfer since it kept on beeping every few minutes.

The staff was amazing. They were so helpful and accommodating when I needed assistance. They fixed the tv when it didnt work, stored my bag so I could walk around town, and brought more coffee and water when I asked.
Negatives:
The room was just ok. My view was literally into the apartment building next door, the lighting in the room was harsh and the florescent bulbs were brutal. It just emphasized how cold the room was.

Parking wasnt included and was $45 extra for the night in an unsecured parkade which meant nothing could be left in the car.
Staff were not particularly helpful or knowledgeable about points of interest around the hotel.

Bathroom lacks ventilation and shower glass doesnt stop water from getting out. Bathroom gets soaked and feels like a sauna whenever a shower is taken and because of the non existing ventilation it stayed soaked overnight and in the morning too.
