Shilo Inn Suites Hotel Portland Airport

Negatives: I booked because they listed free airport shuttle only to learn that they no longer have it. I had to take an Uber for $17 which they did reimburse when I complained. I arrived late only to be told that there were no clean rooms. They did go and clean some rooms, but there were several of us, with reservations, who had to wait in the lobby while they serviced the rooms. I was pleased, when I finally got there to have a very clean and comfortable room. The WiFi was not working in the lobby. It worked fine in the room, once I got there. Their restaurant was closed. The staff stated that there were new owners and that was the reason for all the changes. I wouldn’t book here until they get their act together and don’t believe what’s listed on this site for amenities.

Negatives: Pool was filled with mold and closed, jacuzzi was nonexistent, no food on site, bedroom sink was leaking, cabinet moldy and full of mildew. Accessory wet bar to use instead of sink with leaky drain did not turn on unless you spun it around a few times randomly then water would eventually come out. Apparently they sold the property the day before and let a bunch of the staff go. This was a horrid experience frankly, better conditions in Mexico in a $15 per night hole in the wall.

Negatives: The pool was not clean so I couldn’t use it.

Negatives: No breakfast or other amenities.

Negatives: No towels were provided. I would have had to purchase towels in order to bathe.

Negatives: There was an issue with the shower, my husband said there was some trick and the kids had a hard time getting the hang of it. When the lights went on in the bathroom, it made a loud noise, like maybe a very loud fan came on with it. The kids said the sleeper sofa mattress was not as comfy, but I think they are like that everywhere we go.
