Positives:
The location was perfect! I would compare the hotel to a mini resort. There was a games/entertainment space, "gear shed" in which you could rent bikes, beach blankets and folding chairs, and various other items. We rode bikes all over to explore the inner city, and we took some chairs out to Cannon Beach.
The staff were friendly, restaurant was yummy and the courtyard had fire pits, and s'more hour was every night 7-8pm.
Staff was also very friendly, knowledgeable and a delight to speak to
Negatives:
Shower water pressure was just "okay". Would have been nice to have the room made up once during our 5 night stay.
Otherwise everything was great.

Wifi and signal for television terrible. Shower did not drain properly. Stains or dirt under the glass on the vanity shelf.

In downtown Portland; the location was great. There was a liquor tasting happening and that was cool. The game room and the ability to check out equipement (e.g. yoga mat) was nice.
Negatives:
We stayed on the 5th floor, cuz you know, "penthouse", but the AC didn't get cold enough and we couldn't adjust the thermostat below like 68, which normally would be fine but because we were on the 5th floor it was still so hot in our room. We left the window ope but there is a bus stop out front and the beeping of the bus was terrible. Even with the window open it was still hot AF in the room. The shower water pressure was pitiful and crummy. These wouldn't have been a big deal if we weren't paying what it cost to stay at Zags. Almost $500 for 3 nights and it was hot and had a crappy shower.

Positives:
The location was perfect, I had a class at the building across the street.
The front desk staff were very kind and helpful, with recommendations and even directions.
Negatives:
That the sink in our room did not have hot water.
Also the hotel was set on cooling so it was really cold, but my fiance loved that it was cooler.

Positives:
We were really happy with the location and parking garage. It was very easy for us to get in and out the city. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room in itself was big and clean, and the beds were nice.
Negatives:
For us, the daily amenity fee of $30 was included in the price seen on booking.com. However, we weren't sure and it added some confusion. In addition, we had a door coonecting our room to another room (locked), and it was possible to hear everything our neighbours were saying, which was a bit annoying - especially in the morning. If we stay here again (which we probably will as we have family in the area), we will ask for a room that is not adjoined.

I loved the game room, clean, comfortable- great vibe. Walking distance to my kids apartment and graduation at PSU. The staff were great, they have a whole room with items like bikes, disc golf that you can use for free.
