That the rooms are accessed from inside (atypical of original construction Red Roofs)
Even though closed for the season the existence of a pool is also atypical.
They are pet friendly!
Security deposit was credited back to my card the next day.
Don't understand why so many ppl complain of no breakfast. Regular travelers should know chain policies and would know RR does not provide breakfast.

No visible exterior trash receptacles
Guests staying with dogs were picking up after the dogs and then forced to leave the bags in a neat pile next to the highway sign base. A trashcan there would be a plus.
parking seemed a bit limited and no room for towed vehicles.

of stale smoke in room . Bedspread had burn holes in it. Pillows reaked of smoke and had a wetness feel on bed , pillows and towels

Positives:
The woman who checked me in was cheerful and kind. The next morning, the staff let me stay an extra 15 minutes past check out time, as I was running late. I like the Ganesha statue they keep in their office :-)
The room was clean. The property was quiet and peaceful. The king bed was comfortable, the refrigerator worked well. The shower was good.
The price was a good deal for a clean and safe place. I got it last minute right before midnight, as I was tired from my road trip.
