Positives:
I thought the beds were comfortable, until I saw the bedbugs. That made the beds much less comfortable.
Negatives:
When I arrived, no one was at the front desk and the employees were loudly chatting in the bar area. The king room I reserved was unavailable. I’m not really sure what the point of a reservation is if they don’t save the room for you and can’t fill it. I was given keys to a first floor room. They didn’t work. The front desk person went back and forth twice and couldn’t make them work either. She tried a second room a few doors down. She couldn’t make keys work for that one either. By then I had been there for more than half an hour and was getting annoyed. I was finally given a third room on the second floor. One of the employees instructed me on how to use the elevator like I’d never seen one before, which was very strange.
I settled into the room (the keys finally worked) and got ready for bed. While lying in bed, I saw something move in my peripheral vision. I turned the light on and promptly discovered a bedbug on my pillow. I killed it and photographed it for evidence. It was by this point 2 in the morning. I moved the other bed away from the wall and inspected it and found nothing, so I tried lying down there as soon as I turned the light off the same thing happened again. I realized I had been bitten on my arm and my face. I killed the second bug. I set down the tissue on the nightstand and discovered a third one. I packed my things, using the plastic trash bags and laundry bag to isolate everything that had touched a bed, and I left. The front desk was empty on my way out, so I left a message for the hotel in this app. I ended up spending the night (and washing clothes) in my family members’ home, even though they definitely did not have room for me, which is why I had a hotel reservation in the first place.
The next day I called the hotel to report this (no one had answered the message I left through Booking.com). The man who answered the phone did not even act surprised. He did not apologize for what happened.

Negatives:
Breakfast ended at 9. Way too early - not even a cup of coffee. The room was on first floor and the window only had a sheer curtain, no shade. I did not feel safe or private.

Positives:
Staff was very helpful and polite. Breakfast was quite good for a hotel complimentary breakfast. Great location. Good value for the price. Would stay here again.
Negatives:
The bathroom needed a larger nightlight. It was pretty dark if you needed to use the bathroom at night. The staff is aware and they are working on it.

We were pleasantly surprised to...
Positives:
The hotel was very clean, newly re-decorated, well-lit, and well maintained. Cleanliness, both inside and out, always give the first impression for me. This Best Western was top notch in cleanliness! (Smelled great too! Clean smell is VERY important!)
Staff was friendly, attentive, and readily provided information about the surrounding area. They also made me feel assured of my safety, which as a solo traveler was very important.
The delicious breakfast bar offered a variety of options for every palette such as fresh fruit, waffles, omelettes, bacon, cereal, oatmeal with toppings, yogurt, breads/pastries, etc. Juice, milk, coffee, and tea are provided as well,
A few reviews suggested the rooms that faced the highway side were noisy, but I did not experience this at all (and I have acute hearing.) My room was quiet and I had a peaceful night's sleep.
I would definitely return to this Best Western!
Negatives:
Lack of directional signage for rooms-
I would just suggest that hallways be labeled with which room numbers are allocated to them and directional arrows.
