Extended Stay America Suites - Philadelphia - Exton

Negatives: Key cards don't work. Four times it did not work even after rescanning. I am disabled, cannot walk, was given a room on the third floor at the very end of the hall. They told me to walk all the way back to the lobby to rescan the key card. Get new system.

Negatives: Breakfast was a disappointment. Coffee and instant oatmeal are not a real breakfast, and you shouldn't advertise something that you don't provide.

Negatives: I think they have a roach problem. When I first got to the room, the first thing I noticed were roach traps.

Negatives: Staff needs to training on customer service skills. Nothing worse than an unhappy, less than professional staff.

Negatives: Dirty rooms and halls. Staff members have attitude. Ac leaks in rooms. Bathroom fan doesnt work. Housekeepers never come to refill towels and toilet paper. We stay at hotels for weeks at a time. Went to extend my stay and was told I wasn't allowed. Someone was suppose to get back to me and never did. We are homeless due to a house fire. So we have to accept low standards of living. Fire alarm kept going off. Fire dept had to show up most times. Woke up from a nap in panic. Do no stay at the Hammock Inn right down the road from extended stay. Do not stay at ESA. My family's experience was not a good one and if we werent homeless we woulent stay any of these 3 hotels. We have 2 more hotels on our list from our journey. Will be reaching out to corporate offices when we get settled into housing. Have heard horrible stories about the conference center which is right next to this one. So be careful if you have families.

Negatives: Rooms were not clean. Was on first floor windows would not lock. Outside screen was open about 4 and would not shut. Walking out in front of entrance, people smoking marijuana. Felt very uncomfortable. Front end staff just walking in my room at 10 oclock at night without a knock just unlocking my door. Felt very uncomfortable in this facility. Will never stay there again! Had a service dog they would not honor made me pay for her. When I booked this property I had spoken to somebody and they had said yes that my service dog would be free. Pricing for this facility was really expensive, rooms were dirty, not clean, no remote for TV, when asked, they handed me a remote it would not program. Ask the employee to come down and fix it she said she would, she never did never had a TV the three days that I said there. The rooms are very dated. My room was not clean had hair in my bathtub ( gross). I have never felt so unsafe at a place before!! Especially your staff walking in without even knocking. Totally on excusable!!!

Negatives: The AC would make a super load droning noise for at least 5 minutes at a time. So loud you could feel the room vibrate. Smelled terrible as soon as I checked in. Front desk people made me feel like a nuisance with every interaction.

Negatives: Rude staff, room was not clean.

Negatives: The person who checked us in was totally useless and openly admitted that he has never done this before. Second night had the front desk locking us out and being very rude when enquired about it. Apparently the 8 people were checked into a single room and the second room was registered as a no show. Having sorted it out for now, we were able to get in the room. And the third night came up with the exact same issue. Again arguing at the front desk and having the key card reactivated, had to go through the whole mess again. And even the first room had to have the key card inactive and reactivated every evening. Never ever ever going to stay at ES or at least this location ever again. And also, there was no breakfast except for some cereal bar and muffins. We were expecting some hot breakfast. But that was sort of like smaller issue compared to the room issues. And couldn't even find a water fountain to refill the water bottle!

Negatives: The front desk staff was very unprofessional. Not the cleanest. The food offered was not fresh and there was not much to choose from. Noone really greeted you with a smile or hello. The interactions were very short and a little cold.

Negatives: We were in a non-smoking room but it still reeked of cigarette smoke.

Negatives: Not clean 2nd floor smelled like many people were smoking weed Room dirty - Hair in bathroom - carpet dirty - musty smell to room Strange people lingering in lobby / laundry room / parking lot. Unsafe - dirty - overpriced - GROSS!
