A decent hotel for a...

The room was clean and a decent size for a motel. There have been some apparent updates and the staff members we came across were helpful.
Negatives:
The check-in process was confusing. We were supposed to use the Best Western lobby across the parking lot to check in, but the only sign to tell you that was folded over so we couldn't see that right away. Fortunately there was a staff member cleaning rooms and we asked her. The room, while clean and a non-smoking room, smelled like stale cigarette smoke and chemicals. We got used to it after a while but it did catch me off guard.

There were live bugs and dead bugs everywhere. The second we stepped into the room we saw a bug. Then we saw another one. Then as we were finally trying to wind down to sleep we saw another one on the clock right next to our faces. These weren't just flies. These were bugs.

They said we could get early check in for $25 fee, when I went to check in the lady looked miserable as if she didn’t want to do her job, tub was disgusting, shower curtains were dirty, empty shampoo containers left in shower, bed sheets were dirty, looked like cleaning carts didn’t have fresh/clean linens even on them, ac quality was poor, tv quality was very poor, looked like there was a camera starched to the tv but unsure so covered it just in case

We had an excellent stay...
Positives:
This a basic motel, but appeared to have been recently updated. Far from fancy, but quite serviceable and clean. It shares a small parking lot with the Best Western and that is where you check in. There is a huge parking lot in the back. Bed was pretty comfortable tho the pillows were pretty thin; still, they were better than the big fat ones some places have that give me a neck ache. No breakfast is available tho they let me get coffee/tea at the Best Western in the morning. I don't care about the breakfast as I am gluten free and can't eat it usually anyway.
Negatives:
Pillows are key to a good sleep and having a couple of different thicknesses is nice. Two per person. Fridge in the room was nice but it didn't have a freezer compartment so I couldn't freeze my cooler ice pack for the next day.
