Positives:
The staff were very friendly. The location was convenient for our needs and if you want to go to the mall, it's good. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. Sheets and towels were clean, white and okay quality. They had an iron and ironing board to borrow, so we left pressed.
Negatives:
We booked through Booking.com and at check-in they tried to charge us another $5 for the refrigerator that was in the room (it is listed on the app for the room category we booked). This led to a 15 minute check-in to call a manager who argued we needed to pay (we didn't pay it ).
We needed a hairdryer -they don't have any (they say they do, but can't find it) REALLY, in this day and age every hotel has those including the other Motel 6 locations we've stayed in and there are many.
Hallways need vacuuming and paint.
The room needs the walls washed and painted. The bathroom door is bare wood (it's that poorly maintained) and the brown stuff on the walls in the bathroom! Yikes housekeeping needs to be scrubbing daily. Door handles, clean daily, toilet flush handle, remote control and the refrigerator on the outside was thick with scum (Thankfully we carry Lysol to spray all surfaces we need to touch.)
Our room had a stale smell of old smoke.
The smell of pot emanated throughout the hallways on both 2nd & 3rd floors.
The pool was not open although on the website it says it is.

There was no hot water to take a shower, toilet wouldn’t flush right, & the person at the front desk knocked on the door then just opened the door luckily I had the safety latch on & my son was with me & asked him what he wanted
