We thought staying downtown would be nice. Being able to walk to local restaurants, shops and the central market. However, there were so many homeless people around. While we were parked to check in there were two men there approached the car asking for money. Had it been just my husband and I we would’ve dealt with it, but our toddler was along and we didn’t feel comfortable. We are from the city with many homeless people and have never felt this uneasy there. We ended up leaving the first day and going to a different hotel. I also didn’t feel comfortable with the fact that anyone could get in the elevator, no room key needed.

Location is very good, parking is close to hotel.
Negatives:
I did not sleep uninterrupted for 3 nights since door and windows are thin and not noise insulated. The room noise reached well over 60-80 decibel at times. Dogs barking from neighbor rooms for hours on end with no resolution other than telling me i can move rooms if i wish. Traffic noise is almost unbearable.
The AC in room was 60 decibel plus and noisy people in the corridors.
sadly the property is surrounded by what appear to be self many homeless people with substance abuse issues and that made me feel uneasy and unsafe.

The property is very nice! Clean and located in the heart of downtown. The staff were amazing… from check-in to breakfast to check out!

The property should consider installing hinges that allow quite close. It didn’t happen as often as other IHG properties, but the doors slam hard. It was startling.

Location is fantastic! Right downtown in the historic district. You can leave the car and walk to various restaurants, bars, shops and boutiques. it's paid parking, but a large garage is right next to the hotel, and you buy parking through the hotel, and with in and out privileges, it's a good deal.
Negatives:
the housekeeping was spotty service. I didn't get cleaning everyday, not that I'm messy, but fresh towels and empty the trash would have been nice, I was there 8 nights, and only got housekeeping twice. also the first few nights I had paper thin tattered towels, then after the first housekeeping, I had nice fluffy towels.
