Positives:
Very clean hotel, maid service was excellent/timely. Originally assigned to the wrong room, but desk worked to find a more suitable room and moved us immediately. Parking was free for hotel guests. As always, Doubletree welcome cookies were excellent.
Negatives:
Room price was high for the type of room - comparable to a Hampton Inn, but about $90/night more expensive. No breakfast was included - it was $15/person for the daily breakfast buffet. Hotel food was good, but again, quite pricey. Biggest issue was location - while central to many of Reading's attractions, neither my wife nor I felt safe walking around in the evening. Many homeless and others (some apparently "for sale") were within blocks of the hotel. After driving around Reading, there were much better areas with hotels that we would focus on the next time we visit.
