Positives:
Staff from top to bottom was awesome--welcoming, courteous, and professional even when faced with challenges like large groups and limited resources. Housekeeping and the breakfast crew were outstanding. Room was great, and we loved the thoughtful way the desk, which looked like a built-in, had wheels so it could double as a table elsewhere when needed (dining, etc). The hotel location was beautiful and convenient to lots of local parks and things to do, and the property itself is being extremely well-maintained by staff and vendors (to the best of their ability).
Negatives:
There were areas of the hotel that could use some serious attention. None of the vending machines were functional and the spa/hot tub was down during our entire stay. Guests repeatedly mistook some large planters for ash-trays resulting in more than one small fire, thankfully put out quickly and safely by staff. Pool area could definitely use a refresh. The staff here has a commendable sense of pride about the property, so with some minor attention and updating, this hotel could be even more of a gem.

The breakfast was awesome both mornings and the previous summer we stayed there.
Negatives:
The pool heater was inoperable so the pool was cold and the hot tub was off limits. The reason I selected this hotel was for the breakfast and pool as I had stayed there previously and they were both nice. Pretty disappointed that there isn't a way to be notified of the issues and allowed to rebook somewhere else. It kinda ruins a vacation if you can't use the pool or hot tub.
