Negatives: The location though walking distance to shops and restaurants is next door to a homeless shelter. Though they do not bother the guests, it might take some people aback considering the hotel is rated above range. The room carpet can be updated, maybe remove it entirely and reveal the hardwood floors possibly underneath it and just use area rugs. The lamp between the 2 beds do not work because there is no electric plug. A plug in table would be great between the beds to charge the cell phone.

Negatives: I did not feel that we should have had to pay for parking The restaurant closed early one night - so there was no food. But it worked out okay I simply expected a bit more for the price and from a 4 star hotel, which was what it was rated. The stay was not bad at all, Just was not what I expected.

Negatives: The bathroom and the bedroom are similar sizes...the room is a good single stay but very small for couples.

Negatives: There was a computer issue when we arrived and we couldn’t check in for over an hour, despite having our booking references and room type on our confirmation. The attitude of staff was basically ‘I don’t believe you’, ‘I can’t do that’. There was no indication of how long the process was going to take and we were just expected to wait after an exhausting day travelling and a later engagement to attend. When we finally allowed in, it took several attempts to get the keys to work to the rooms. The rooms were ok, quite dated and not particularly spacious. There was noise outside the room at night as if someone was prowling around. In the morning a different receptionist couldn’t print the bill for us and told us we needed to get it from booking.com. Like many American hotels, there was no breakfast, just coffee and help yourself junk food in the lobby, cereal bars, cheap pastries etc. On leaving the hotel, the street was full of homeless people watching while we loaded the car. There were no staff to assist us. It was only as we left we realised that they were waiting for the mission across the road to open for breakfast. We stayed in five different properties during our trip to the US and this was by far the worst experience.
