Positives: The lobby and the staff were great.
Negatives: Other than the lobby the place was deplorable. The ceiling tiles were all wet and saggy and had stains on them in the hallways going to the rooms. The rugs were old and decrepit, ripped in places. The light fixtures on the wall were broken and hanging. Inside the room we walked in…it was 92°. The smoke detector was on the ground. It had fallen off the ceiling. The bathroom had mold on the shower head and the tub floor was dirty. There was some sort of reddish stain on the toilet seat which was very offputting. And none of the receptacles worked so I couldn’t charge our phones or my kids iPads. In a In an added bonus, the hot tub jets didn’t work, the ceiling of the pool area was flaking off. And the cherry on top is the charge you to park in their lot. But to make you feel better they offer you a shuttle. They can only bring it to one place within 2 miles. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in my life. This one is close to the top of the worst hotels I’ve ever been in. We booked it because it had the Marriott name, but apparently that doesn’t mean much anymore.

Positives: Excellent condition. Very pleasant Staff.
Negatives: The shower valve was closed so tight that I couldn't open it. Tried to call hotel staff for help, but no one answered. Had to get myself ready for a wedding but was unable to shower first. Eventually my husband was able to turn it on. But it was too late for me. I had to improvise.

Negatives: Property needs renovation. Worn furniture, thread bear and dirty carpet, old worn fixtures in the bathroom, toilet flush was unreliable, bad mattress. Also, no soap or toilet paper until we called front desk.

Positives: The staff was friendly and very helpful.
Negatives: The rooms designated to people who book through a 3rd party site was horrible. The furniture in the room was stained and old in appearance, stains on shower curtain and bed linen. The staff did change the room but it wasn’t much better. The tub had hair in it, had to flush the toilet several times. The pictures of the room was nothing like the actual stay and for almost $500 for one night definitely wasn’t worth it. I even paid extra to upgrade my room and was still disappointing. Would not book again when in Providence.

Positives: Easy to get to.
Negatives: Don’t know if the rooms on the 5th floor were all like mine but pretty shabby. Big rips in the curtain sheets, run down, scuffed furniture, creaky beds, old air conditioner units, poor decor. Very run down carpet in parts of the hotel. It’s like 1/2 upscale, 1/2 ghetto. Not worth a $500 rate at all.

Negatives: The water in the shower was not hot, the parking was not included in the price of the hotel. On booking.com i was charged 504 and my credit card statement now says 596.00. Overall I was not impressed based on price. Will look for an AirBNB next year.
