THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR THE ROOM TWICE
I used the Booking App as I have been doing since 2021, and this is the first time this has happened to me.
I booked a room for my family for one night and took the option of paying for it at the hotel, I've always done it that way.
When I did the "Check-In" in the App the day before the stay, I decided to pay with my credit card through the App.
I arrived at the hotel around 9:30 pm on the day booked, and the person at the counter told me that I had to pay for the room. I explained to him that I had already paid for it through the App, I even showed him the transaction from my phone that was paid, but he insisted that I had to pay it on the site.
I called my bank, and the operator reaffirmed that this transaction was approved in the name of the hotel. I explained this to the person at the counter, and he insisted that I had to pay for the room.
I left the La Quinta Hotel with my family around 10:30 pm that same night, without staying there, and I had to look for another hotel to stay with my wife and two children in a city that we did not know.
IT IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE HAD WHEN LEAVING HOME.
