Extended Stay America Suites - Columbia - Northwest/Harbison

Negatives: The hotel is located across from a hospital so you hear sirens all night long. The people in the hotel beside us were doing drugs, which you could smell in our room. ALL NIGHT LONG. The elevator was janky. You could feel the people moving in the room next door. Walls are ridiculously thin, I heard every word they said as well. The halls are creepy and poorly lit. The “free breakfast” was muffins and coffee, both of which were disgusting, and the person at the front desk stopped me with 2 muffins and 2 cups of coffee in my hands to demand I show her my room key. The bathroom had pee in the floor around the toilet, the shower curtains and towels had prior guest hair in them, the shower head had zero water pressure. The bed was super uncomfortable, coupled with the fact that the sofa was stained red, and the mattress on the sofa bed was stained and disgusting and unmade. We had several scary experiences here. We were standing outside, a car pulls up revving their engine, driver gets out and goes inside. Someone jumps in the driver seat, throws their hand out the window at us, starts Revving the engine some more. Driver comes back out and talks to whoever is in the car, goes back inside and checks in, then comes back out, makes eye contact with us, jumps in the car and slams the gas. This didn’t just leave us feeling unsettled, the person working the front desk was scared as well. Then later we see a woman falling all over the parking lot, running and sobbing, then falling just repeatedly all the way to the lobby. Generally, none of the women who also booked with us felt safe in the least. We ended up enacting a buddy system so no one left a room alone for any reason at all. Someone else literally said “this feels like a place where people go to get missing” which resonated because yeah. Definitely does. The outside of the building looked deceptively nice. Thankfully, it was only $140 for 1 night.

Negatives: The breakfast included and a choice of muffins, cereal bar or oatmeal. Very disappointing. The morning staff was rude and their were drugs and guns everywhere. The hallway smelled of Marijuana and the smell was in the rooms. Felt unsafe and will never stay again.

Negatives: Lot of children playing and being loud in the hallways-

Negatives: No ice machine, No wheel chair

Negatives: The smell was absolutely horrible! Cigarette smoke and old house combined. It would have been unbearable had we not brought room spray with us to use. Bathtubs appeared old and cracked.

Negatives: Not gonna say

Negatives: The hotel had roaches in the room they put me in the first room it had roaches, and then the next room had roaches and a smoke free hotel but everywhere smell like cigarettes and smoke in the hallway in our room

Negatives: Nothing

Negatives: The front desk was not attentive it took a while for someone to come to the counter... I had to call the 800 number for someone to come up front...
