Very friendly and helpful staff. The lobby was updated and attractive. It was also clean.

When you get off the elevator on floor 2, you're greeted with stained and filthy carpet. My room was very rundown. Paint was scuffed up and the carpet was old and tattered. The bathroom vanity finish was cracked and peeling.

Positives:
The staff was extremely friendly. I was very nervous after reading the reviews but the hotel & our room was better than I expected. It didn’t have a smell to us although the reviews said it smelled old. The only old smell we encountered was upon entry of the hotel but I think it was the moisture from the pool bc it’s literally right there by the front desk. They do have a hot breakfast. It wasn’t nothing fancy but it’s enough to hold you until you can get to some real food. The pool was open our entire stay, so that was a plus.

I can tell they have tried to do some upgrades but there is still a lot to do! Our toilet had brown stains on the inside of it in which I thought was uncleaned poop but after throughly cleaning the room I realized it was stained. The tub had a small crack in it & it was a dead roach beside the toilet. We had the king suite bedroom & 2 queens in the other room. The king suite had a jacuzzi tub but it didn’t work. I was told it was leaking so they removed the water spout. But why not just remove the tub & put a stand up shower in there?! The carpet in the rooms compared to he halls are definitely old but they were clean. There was an extreme amount of dust on the ceiling fan & on the wall behind the bedroom door. A good deep clean is needed!!

Positives:
The staff were friendly, the room was spacious, the breakfast was good, and the location was near major shopping centers. The food was decent, but being that most Americans today are health conscious, we'd like turkey sausage to replace pork.
Negatives:
The pillows looked fluffy but when we laid down, they were noticeably worn. The carpet was moldy, so a good steam cleaning would brighten and refresh the room. The noise coming from the ice machine and hallway was noticeably loud, so the rooms could use some insulation to drown out the noise. The internet service had a weak to moderate signal. The breakfast menu needs to offer fresh fruit, granola, nuts (walnuts), and oat meal. Staff were in the back office and it took a few minutes to check in and check out, so it is essential that they remain at the front desk to attend to guest needs.
