We arrived Christmas Eve. Check-in was quick. Staff was very friendly. We needed Christmas morning early shuttle to the airport. Driver was prompt. Pick-up at the airport after our travels was quick. The driver arrived within 20 minutes of us calling for.

We've stayed here many times. Easy on/off I-90 and close to a truck stop for good food. Everything we need for an overnight stay on our trips west.

We loved our stay at Thunderbird Lodge. The staff was great and we loved our room. Beds were comfortable and our TV was very large which was a plus.

ok, nothing outstanding

There are plenty of food places close by and it's not far off the freeway. Easy access to the main road and we were able to park right in front of our room making it easy to unload/load our luggage.
Negatives:
This hotel was.. I'll say vintage. The staff was really nice. They let us check in a little early. Unfortunately, the room had an odor and it was dated leaving it feeling unclean. My dog got a bit freaked out at night. She didn't want to go near the front of the room. It was quiet so we're not sure what she was reacting to. There was a lot of traffic and it didn't feel all that safe walking my dog (because of all the traffic). There is a grassy area but I had to carefully watch where my dog was going as it's an open field and there was broken glass and trash. We didn't have many options for staying with a pet in Mitchell. Next time, we'll probably go to another city to stay the night.
