Sturgis Lodge and Suites

Negatives: I booked through booking.com We showered up and they had a note on the door staying they were closed. No power or water apparently! They still charged my credit card and I never got a call staying they had closed their doors.

Negatives: But.... the hot tub was not working (one of the reasons I booked this hotel) and the pool was super cold even though it's inside. The breakfast room had some major water leaking from the ceiling (3 buckets filled and water all over the floor.)

Negatives: it was absolutely filthy, should be closed down. 2 other people also left due to the filth.

Negatives: Pool was too much chlorine and cold.

Negatives: The room was not at all like the pictures we based our booking on. We had to pay before we could even see the room. We cancelled as we saw as we saw the room. I'm now waiting to see how much I will be charged for this and it's a major concern for us. The room had stained toilet and major I guess it was a hard water stain in the tub. Beds appeared to be well used and the white bedding has some stains on the bedspread and was old and faded version of anything white. The staff was good and trying to help by showing us another room but the black stain under the toilet rim just ended that as an option for us and the same type of worn out faded bedding. So for from worth the price.

Negatives: Nothing to dislike.

Negatives: The lady that handles the breakfast could be a little more friendly. I dropped my bowl of cereal, and she brings me the mop to clean it up. I think she should have taken the initiative to say I'll clean it up, it's ok, but nothing was offered. The toilet in our room was loose. When I went to take a bath, I glanced at the toilet bowl and discovered the inside of the bowl had mold or something gross in it.

Negatives: It was outdated and both the sink and the shower were totally clogged.

Negatives: No heat in rooms. Took our 84 - and 77 year old mothers. Supposedly, the heat wasn't turned on for the motel rooms. The second day I went to the office. Maintenance man took the heater from behind desk and gave it to us for our elderly moms. We had two rooms. My husband and I had no heat both nights. Slept with a sweatshirt and pants and socks on. Husband slept. I didn't. Didn't use the shower it was too cold! We had to ask for toilet paper. No one knew where it was. Will never stay there again.

Negatives: The check in process was a mess, front desk attendant was alone on his third day and could not figure out the process of checking, getting keys, etc. The room was not a king size bed but two full beds, the lights in the bathroom didn’t work, the shower was still dirty, and the drain in the shower was slow; basically bathing in a pool of water. There was still food left over in the fridge and the TV/ remote didnt work. All to which I would assume is due to the construction or demo going on at the property.

Negatives: The place is somewhat rundown
