Amber at the desk went above and beyond to rectify a room situation.
Negatives:
I requested no feathers when I booked due to a severe allergy. On check in I was told that they had organised a non feather room, so I thought that was great and didn’t give it a thought until I got back that evening and got into bed. The bedding was all feather, triggering an asthma attack. I was tired and nobody answered the phone downstairs so I took the bedding off and went to sleep once my breathing had calmed down. The next morning I requested that the entire bed be changed. When I said why the check in staff were uninterested but said they would sort it. I returned home around that evening and the room hadn’t been cleaned however someone had been in because the feather pillows that I threw on the floor were back on the bed. Nothing had been changed and the bed hadn’t been remade. I went down to the desk where Amber was wonderful and sorted for me to move to a suite, and she spent an hour making sure it was clean and feather free. We moved our bags the next morning (which was appreciated) however the next day there was little hot water and the mirror on the wall was broken, plus all of the cushions in the living area were feather, so I couldn’t sit out there and kept finding them around the suite. Our keys also stopped working and had to be remade, even though it was on file that we had moved rooms. I didn’t bother to complain again as the bed was fine and the front desk staff during the day were so uninterested. Overall I slept little and had an asthma flare up that could have been avoided from the very beginning. It was the worst part of our trip to Nashville.
