Lots of unsavory people around the area. I had a prostitute try to solicit me after a man attempted to rob me just moments before. Security at the hotel valet kept the man from further approaching. Parking should be included with the stay for the rate that you pay. I’ve stayed with Marriott in much more affluent areas and not had to pay for hotel property parking. Lobby staff was so so. They were friendly but appeared to be lost at their job other than with Check-in. Overall the hotel was great but due to location and surrounding environment I would not stay there again.

The check in process was swift. The room was aesthetically pleasing as well as being well appointed. The lighting was great- lots of options for different levels of brightness. I like soft lighting and this room was definitely lit softly. It was spotless, the unit looked brand new. All the dishes and towels were arranged in picture perfect fashion. I honestly felt like I was stepping into a room from an advertisement.
