My special request for two rooms side by side with another guest were not initially honored when I arrived. Though it took 15 or 20 minutes of discussion with the manager, it did eventually get handled. I appreciated her accommodating us in the end.

The manager explained that when I book through Booking.com, they don't guarantee special requests. And that's true EVEN IF I received a note "from them" that my request was granted. They claimed it was auto-generated by Booking and not actually from them. No guarantees, even if in writing. I will look into that further for future bookings.

The complimentary breakfast was delicious and varied, with plenty of healthy options. The evening social hour was a nice touch, allowing me to unwind after a long day. The fitness center and pool were well-maintained and never crowded.
