Usually I have an at least ok experience at this La Quinta. This one was terrible.
Negatives:
The room smelled like urine. When I asked to change rooms because I am sensitive to smells, he only offered to spray the room because they were “heavily booked”. It was a Monday and the parking lot wasn’t even close to being full. The remote didn’t work, so he gave us another one that didn’t work. Great. Then as I was trying to leave, there were literally 3 people just waiting outside the door to clean it. I didn’t want to go into too much detail, but I have a serious medical condition (brain cancer) and I’m hyper-sensitive to smells. I’m very unhappy with the service provided.

Pool was not heated when it was over 90 degrees outside.
Free breakfast was horrible, they might as well not offer it. We ate at the IHOP next door.
Maintenance/appearance issues (crooked pictures glued in place, faulty electrical outlets, generally dated in appearance.
Bed was fine, pillows lousy.
Price was probably higher that it should be for what you get.

The front desk manager Ken is not good at hospitality. He has no knowledge on how to handle guest relations and will damage this property’s reputation if he remains there.
