Positives: It was great once it was finally prepared. The omelet line needs a way to speed up production. Manager is very nice but working with a bad situation.
Negatives: The elevators did not work. I am 74 years old and it was a disaster to have to walk up and down 8 flights of stairs to my room each time I went downstairs (2 flights per floor). Carrying all my baggage down the stairs at check out was enough to make me decide to never stay at Embassy again. They had no one to help me down the flights of stairs with my baggage. I tried to use the Service elevator but it never came and so I had to make multiple trips DOWN the stairs UP the stairs DOWN the stairs UP the stairs. Exhausting. I was sweating like crazy by the time I was finally loaded into my vehicle to make the 4 hour drive back home. Ugggg. The front desk was fully aware on Thursday that the elevators were out but did nothing to get them fixed by the time I checked out on Sunday. Also, Saturday night, a large number of young girls checked into Embassy. It was after midnight before they stopped screaming at each other down the enclosed stairs/hallways. The front desk refused to do anything about the girls.

Positives: The staff was fantastic. Breakfast was tasty. I loved the pet park in the front.
Negatives: The elevators were both broken. We had to use the freight elevator. Our room restroom sink was not draining properly, the bedroom window lock was broken (safety issue), and the room did not have an iron or iron board and hair dryer. The shower walls had mold on them.

Positives: Check in was wonderful and was front desk staff in general. Bed linens were soft and very clean and mattress was very comfortable...but the pillows were flat as a pancake and terribly uncomfortable.
Negatives: Only had one working elevator, which made trips back and forth to our room complicated and long especially on a busy weekend day. Breakfast was delicious as always, but they should have had two cooks working on the omelet and full serve station on a Saturday. It was a cluster and the wait for food was extensive. Our room was VERY tired and disappointing. Carpet was damp and just didn't feel clean. Walls stained. Baseboards dusty. Cabinet door hanging/broken on coffee bar area in room. Smelled musky and just not fresh like a hotel room should smell. I forgot my slippers and hated walking barefoot on the carpet. Bed linens were soft and very clean and mattress was very comfortable...but the pillows were flat as a pancake and terribly uncomfortable. Very mixed feelings about my stay this time. I am used to the Embassy Suites doing so much better. Oh and now y'all are going to start charging for parking sometime soon...seriously?! You are not even near the city center and paid parking in Austin is such a nuisance and unappealing. I would have more respect for y'all if you would just raise your room rates and leave the parking free. It's not even a crowded parking lot. Come on....

Negatives: Lumpy cheap pillows. Elevators not working so had to use service elevator- ok except very dirty. Tired rooms - mold on ceiling above shower, dinged furniture, hole in carpet, damaged wallpaper. Receptionist did not explain $50 reserve on credit card so I had to go back to desk after checking in thinking I had been overcharged for the room. Overall just felt everything was less than expectedand paid for. The rooms need better maintenance or remodeling.

Negatives: Had a leak on floor and asked if I wanted a fan I spent almost 500 dollars if I wanted a fan I wouldve stayed home . Wet carpet equals mold and a lot other nasty things . Had to jump over wet spot . Coffee pot didnt work . Just a big disappointment from one of my favorite places to stay . Dont know if Ill be back

Positives: I checked in, went to room & realized it was a double not the king I had requested. A/C did not work so I thought it was as because I figured since it wasnt in when we checked in at 6pm it would take time time to cool. Woke up around 3am to call front desk to report it. Clerk wanted us to go to desk to get a new room, leave our stuff in original room and sleep in new room. We were too tired to go back down an elevator that hardly worked. At checkout we reported it to the gentleman at desk and he stated he was sorry that he would credit my Hilton Rewards with 5,000 points (which never happened).
Negatives: Service. I felt like once they got our money they didnt care about our A/C not working.
