Positives:
Large rooms, self parking, overall a great hotel.
Negatives:
No major problem but a series of small disappointments.. Shower isn’t 5*, pool is open to the public as a clubbing/bar all afternoon, making the water stay filthy (turbid) even the next morning. So it’s a nice pool but not for swimming. Breakfast room has no windows, more like a movie studio. Finally the south view was lost to new tower constructions on the waterfront.

It was my husbands birthday and they put a cake and champagne in the room for us to celebrate. We had such a good time hanging out around the hotel too. The bar was such a great vibe. Will be staying again in the future

Positives:
The hotel is lovely. Accommodations are immaculate, LeLabo products were most impressive! Bed, pillows, are extremely comfortable, fine linens. Great night sleep due to its comfort. There are several great restaurants to choose from and a nice lounge area. The staff is pristine. Raphael, Jousef, Liz, Israel, to name a few were top notch. All the staff we encountered were very professional and welcoming. The pool bar was really nice and staff was very friendly. This is a wonderful hotel and I highly recommend Fairmont Austin! Very impressive and would stay again and again!

The room took awhile to cool down, the bathroom soap dish was chipping and old, there was no regular mini fridge in the room, there should be a lined trash bin in the toilet room for feminine products
