Hilton Austin Airport

Negatives: Window shades in very bad shape, sheets clean but mattress pad gave bed a stale smell, no desk lamp and no way to adjust beside lamps. And the bath fixture had a broken connection.

Negatives: The shuttle driver taking us to airport in the morning was rude! When I told him I was running late for my flight, he took my luggage and placed it at the bottom of everyone else’s luggage and I was the last to get on the shuttle before it left for the airport and he buried my bag and made me wait until the end. I almost missed my flight. And again he was rude !!!

Negatives: Staff was terrible

Negatives: We were not able to check in early as there was only one clerk at the front desk. We were allowed to sit at the pool until 3:00 checkin. I asked the girl at front desk if I could get a couple towels at the pool as there wasn't any towels there and it took an hour for someone to do this. The chairs were dirty and there were used towels everywhere. We selected this hotel because it had a pool. When we came down to the pool Monday morning it was closed for repairs. So we were unable to swim that day and it continued to be closed until we checked out. Monday morning there was nobody available at starbucks to purchase a coffee but the gentlemen from the restaurant came over and kindly helped us. It appeared to us that the hotel was very understaffed. The carpet at the entry to our room had bad stains and I brought this to the attention of the desk clerk so that we would not be charged for this. The wifi would not work in our room and I had to go to the lobby to get it to work. The remote only partially worked.

The hotel was over booked and canceled our reservation at 10 PM, and had no rooms left for us despite our reservation. Luckily the Aloft hotel nearby had a room and was perfect at 1/3 the price.

Negatives: Better attitude of young lady at desk. Needing to catch a 700 flight we were told clocks were not available. A nice man in housekeeping corrected that mistake. Never should have happened.
