Personnel was overwhelmed as he was the only one at the front desk and perhaps in the entire hotel... during Memorial Day weekend!!
We got to the room and there were ants in the sink. It didn't appear that the housekeeper swept under the couch because there was lefover food and ants all over.
The a/c didn't work in the room. It was stuck at 82degrees and it kept flashing a "connecting" message.
I went down to talk to the only personnel in the building and told him the problems. He was very rude! I also heard him tell a guest that they were overbooked.
We'd left the hotel and never stayed more than 10mins, but Manager will not issue us a refund... definitely disputing the charge!!!

The outside area was nice ! The pool . The grill. And this water they had by the front desk had oranges and stuff in it and was delicious

It was so bad , my kids pulled out the couch bed and there was dried up blood and debris for mud or something of that texture . The mattress was completely ripped open and they told us they didn’t have any other rooms available and could not help us with anything but clean sheets .

The hotel needs to be updated. Needs new furniture and flooring. The bathroom tub and shower needs to be updated when in the shower the tub was creaking I was afraid to take a shower. Good thing we got the 2 bath 2 bedroom room, I just took a shower in the other bathroom. Also the hallway was very hot.

I’ve stayed here before & gave excellent rating for cleanliness of the property; also, that’s why I came back. The room was as before, clean & comfortable. The carpeting elsewhere throughout (for us from lobby to common areas on 1st floor, to elevator and on our floor (4th) were VERY WELL PAST needing to be cleaned. I was embarrassed when my friend said “I thought you said this was a great hotel” as he pointed to the floors and scrunched his face in disapproval. I was relieved to find clean carpeting in our room! I’m betting there was some story to explain it, but seems hard to believe Sonesta ES would let it get so nasty under any circumstances.
