Negatives: Man on reception when checking out wasn’t very friendly

Negatives: All was good

Negatives: What I didn't like was almost immediately when I told the man where we parked (because the website offered covered parking, but was never mentioned in conversation) he says, " Do you drive a truck?" I told him we did. He says "well, they like to break in and steal trucks, we don't know why, but they do, park at your own risk!" And Guess what???? Our vehicle was indeed broken into and was attempted to be stolen. We live 300 miles away. Fortunately it was drivable and we got home safely. It will cost us money to get the door lock and the ignition lock changed. They even ripped up my daughters bible and stole my handicap placard. So no, we will never stay at this Hampton again. Simply because of the location. I warn people now, choose wisely because this is our only vehicle. AND when we walked out to the vehicle, there was a guy almost like a lookout that was security and when we asked if he saw anything, it's like he couldn't remember how to speak. Our truck door was partially left open. So I know in my heart they were coming back. Called the police, they wouldn't do anything because it is a "park at your own risk because things like this happen all the time here". Zero help. At this point I question everything. I questioned why we were immediately told about burglaries, why was that "security guard" stopped and propped up against Our truck. It is just so much. It's over it's done, we are safe. I'll never trust to stay there again and it's really sad because it's a beautiful hotel.. But, there were homeless EVERYWHERE. Across the street sleeping, one was against the Hampton itself begging. It's not a safe feeling.
