La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Decatur

Negatives: It was so dusty that I had a a couple of coughing spells! I was going to take pictures and I forgot my son got killed and my memory just isn’t the greatest. The ice box was covered in dust! I really wanted to relax and watch some TV. The TV was not working. I called the front desk. He said he’d be up there. He did not come until the very next day when I was gone cause I was there for a family reunion and my friend that came with me she don’t like to camp that’s why we got the hotel or even she was wishing we would’ve just camped, the toilet ran a lot! And I never got no sleep even if you tried to shut them doors really easy the front doors to the rooms there’s no way to do it quietly slam!!! was really disappointed in getting that hotel. Looks deceiving.

Negatives: Should have ice etc. On every floor

Negatives: The toilet would not flush. I called the front desk and they told me to turn on the main water supply. The main water supply had to be turned on and off every time I used the toilet. If the water was left running. It was obtrusively loud. When I went down to the desk to talk to them, the man told me that was how toilets worked. I told them I needed a different room or they needed a refund me for the next night and I would leave. The mattress had a large brown stain on the side. They did give me another room for the second day. The second room had black mold all around the edge of the tub. There is no place to hang a towel or washcloth. The showerhead had obviously not been cleaned in a long time and water sprayed in all different directions. I have always liked La Quinta and it’s usually where I choose to stay. I will never stay at the Decatur La Quinta again and will not recommend it to anyone.

Negatives: There Was Nothing To Dislike..

Negatives: Bitten by bedbugs.

Negatives: Everythings great

Negatives: Floor was dirty in room, empty red bull can next to the couch on the floor, couch was dirty/had visible stains on the cushions, dead bugs all along the perimeter of both rooms, tons of dust/dirt under the bed, black mold in the corner of the shower, mini fridge didn't work despite us unplugging it and plugging back in/turning the dial, blackout blinds were broken and wouldn't raise up, it appears that the attempted at one point to do some repainting and such but didn't finish/tape off very well. No wifi as advertised, only basic channels on tv, remote didn't work for living area tv, no table even though the room was large enough for at least a 2 person table. Only lighting in the living area were overhead lights and a lamp on the desk - no end tables no other lamps. Over all, just not impressed and rather disappointed to be honest for a La Quinta.

Negatives: Communication, most lights in the room didn't work. Food was ok

Negatives: The pool was sketchy in the it looked yellow greenish. The patio and yard surrounding it was dull and untidy.

Negatives: There was dried blood on our sheets and water still in the bathtub. When we checked in, the front desk person had charged my card for another person’s room and told us both there was nothing he could do about it and he didn’t know how to get us in rooms. I asked him to call his manager and he refused several times. After thirty minutes of back and forth I finally asked him to start over with both reservations and he said he would try that and we ended up getting into a room at about 11pm… only to find that it was dirty. When I took the sheets down the front desk guy said that it wasn’t his fault and I had to ask him several times to give us fresh sheets. It was an all around disaster and the next morning when I talked to the morning shift front desk person he was apologetic but offered no compensation for our trouble. Needless to say, we will never stay there again.
