The outside of the building was a little rough coupled with a non working elevator from the parking garage. But once inside the room you can tell it was updated which calmed my nerves.
Negatives:
Everything just seemed to be nickle and dimed. Just give me one price that includes room, parking, breakfast.

I've never had as positive of an interaction when complaining/asking for a refund. The staff were very understanding and apologetic about our experience—and were open to sharing a laugh about it all. (However, when the hotel finally sent the refund they withheld over $200, revoking what they told us in person. When I highlighted this in a private message with the hotel, they said that returning the partial amount was a courtesy; regardless of what we had confirmed at the hotel... which led me to share this warning with other potential guests considering the hotel.)
Negatives:
The hotel is dilapidated. Even the hotel sign outside is missing some letters. Our room had holes in the walls and ceiling. The spa is non-existent and is just an area filled with chairs. My partner did not feel comfortable staying at the hotel; so within an hour of checking in we were asking about the possibility of checking out (something I have never done before).
The following morning we confirmed with the staff that we could leave the hotel and check in at a nearby hotel without being double charged for the night. The staff, including the manager, were very understanding about our desire to check out given the condition of the place.
However, after we left they revoked what they said and charged us for the night we checked out (after confirming they would not do this when we were in person).

The rooms were nice and clean. The beds and pillows are very comfy. We had plenty of towels for all 3 nights.

It was close to MD Anderson, when they found out my grandmother was there for medical reasons they adjusted the price of her stay and she never had to leave other than to see her doctor everything she needed was right there

The staff was amazing and very helpful. The location has a shuttle that takes you within n a few miles for free and the shuttle driver is very friendly. The room was clean and cozy.
Negatives:
I did not like the noise level from the hallways. Loud music played every night and drink and loud people walked the hallways each night making noise and going back and forth between their rooms knocking on doors all night. I did not get any sleep at all and returned home drained with no rest.
