Positives:
The room was beautiful and comfortable. The view was amazing. The hotel staff was engaging and friendly. The cleanliness was top notch. The breakfast was the icing on the cake. It was buffet style and had everything from made-to-order omelets to the standard eggs and breakfast meats. Plenty of side items, plus all the toppings for waffles and pancakes. Wide variety of juice, milks and coffee. 10/10 recommend. Free happy hour in the afternoon with drinks and snacks.

I can't find anything about the Embassy Suites in downtown Houston that I could ask to be better than it already is.

Gladys, I hope I spelled your name correctly.....was the best staff member at the front desk. She's very friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to help me as a customer out. Give her a raise an promotion.
Negatives:
I didn't like the interaction with the staff when I was checking in on the first day, or the first room I was put in. The sink was clogged and the toilet was stopped up with no pressure. Gladys got me out of that room. I was set to give your establishment a very unfavorable review, if it wasn't for Gladys and another staff member at the front desk who's husband is from Detroit, I didn't get her name. These two ladies put me back in good spirits and the right frame of mind towards the Embassy Suites, downtown Houston. Thanks ladies!

Positives:
Located two blocks from the convention center and one block from a fancy grocery store, next to other good hotels. Good restaurant on site. The suites are quite nice and comfortable as well, great value for the price.

Breakfast is kind of lacking - unless I missed something... A cup of coffee and a packaged apple? That does not even count as "continental" breakfast, better say "free apple included with your stay"...

The breakfast omlet bar was delicious and the gym has a good amount of equipment for an adequate workout.
Negatives:
There are three elevators, but one was always down. It was like that the last time I stayed too. I'm leaning toward that being a regular issue.
There is no guest parking, only valet, 50+ dollars a night for valet parking. It adds up quickly.
