My room’s AC was broken. It seems unlikely that the hotel staff didn’t know this beforehand. Hotel seemed to have a full occupancy and reception staff didn’t seem very helpful to other guests inquiries, so I didn’t want to ask to be moved to another room and risk having to find another lodging option further from IAH and having to pay a higher fare, my day had been bad enough after loosing my connection to Germany.

Air conditioner didn’t work. TV remote didn’t work. One wash cloth and one hand towel Soap dispenser empty. The room was very mediocre.

The front desk employee was MIA from 2-430p. Check-in is 3p. Guests were left in the lobby with no help. When asked for compensation the employee said that’s not possible. Also, there’s a $30 early check-in fee (before 3p).
The room had a water leak that caused water to pool on the ground. The water either came from the loud AC unit or the window has a leak. When brought to the attention of the establishment, the employee said okay without offering compensation or a change of room.
