The location is excellent and in easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and amenities. Also very convenient for access by roads close to the intersection of the I-10 highway and the beltway-8.

The hotel claims to be "pet friendly", but this simply means that everywhere stinks of dog. My room smelled so bad that I had to have my window open at all times and all of my clothes ended up smelling like dog. The carpet and floor were disgustingly dirty and could not be walked on in bare feet or socks, and all furniture, including the bed, smelled strongly of dog.

This hotel is a suite with a kitchen. I hadn't expected it and there was a Fuddruckers just across from the hotel parking so quite convenient to it and to getting on the I-10 Katy Fwy. I would have like to have someone in reception when I left at 7:15 a.m. to get a printed receipt but there wasn't anyone there.
Negatives:
Rooms were very clean. Lovely little and fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, dish washer and 2-burner electric stovetop. Because of the nice kitchen, there is no breakfast at the hotel. It was really meant for extended stay people but the location was fantastic for heading west out of Houston. The area also has many restaurants and shopping.
