Nothing maintenance is going on and while hotel rooms are dirty

I booked a suit room with 2 queen bed and a sofa bed, but they provided me a single room with a king bed and a sofa bed. We were 2 adults and 3 kids. It was very difficult to stay 3 days with this facility. I booked in the month of May for my August stay I talked with the facility staff and they said I booked through 3rd party that is booking.com so I should talk with them. I tried to make calls to booking.com but after long holding the calls was disconnected.

Good location. Standard fare for breakfast.
Negatives:
Said a room was ready. Then, it wasn't. Put us in a room much later that was surrounded by workers doing remodeling. Lots of noise and hammering. When we checked out, the lady giving us a receipt said,"here you go." Can you guess what standard question she didn't ask? Wasted $151 for that.

The hotel was fairly clean bit old.
Negatives:
The latch on the door was not secure and I was told that was how it was suppose to be. In addition I had a water leak in the bathroom through the light fixture which I was told they would get it the next day. I had to push to fix asap...not safe.
