Paid for 3 nites online for a downstairs room for myself my grandson (12) and our dog. Didn't make it the first nite due to car trouble but called that nite to let the hotel know and again next morning. Was assured room was ready whenever I got there as I was still charged for all 3 nights. Arrived next evening and no downstairs rooms were available. I am mobility impaired and told the desk clerks stairs were extremely difficult even without luggage. Was left standing there while they piddled around acting as if I wasn't there. One finally said if I stayed upstairs I could get a downstairs room the next day. I finally agreed to the room but let them know I was canceling for the next nite so would I be reimbursed? They both said yes. The room was stifling hot. They put me way in the back bldg facing a dark parking lot and forest on one side and a bar to the other. Saw several people wandering around the dark side who weren't guests but looking for somewhere to lay down. Finally got up to the room after midnight. Spent 3 hours trying to rearrange schedule and find a room for following nite. Fridge was broken and had stale water in it. Bugs allover the front door entrance. People carrying on from the bar that is part of the property. Missed breakfast and took a lukewarm shower amongst the crickets dirt and hair in the tub. Won't be back. Never heard from management/owners. Still haven't been reimbursed for cancelation.
