The renovation, which was ongoing, and the noise. The walls sounded like they were just sheets. The women in the room next to mine were having very loud sex almost all night. This is not a problem, but I am just pointing out there needs better insulation.

Lobby under construction. Lobby floor in process of being tiled with exposed material that could cut or injure guests. Lobby floor was wet and unsafe. It is highly unlikely that this facility was granted a "Certificate of Occupancy" or passed the inspections required to open to the public. My wife and i decided to seek another hotel, knowing that we risked losing our prepaid reservation. We were able to book the night's stay at a nearby Hampton Hotel and did not stay at the Holiday Inn Express.
Negatives:
Construction material at the entrance made it obvious that the facility was not ready for guests, legally or practically. The lobby floor was wet and unsafe, There was no signage indicating anything.

It would have been nice to know that it was in total renovation not even a desk or floor in lobby. She much so that when we pulled up we thought hotel was closed.

Breakfast was delicious and hot. We even got to have an extra room opened up for our group the ladies were so nice there and helpful. The rooms were comfortable had everything we needed for our short stay. The beds were comfy also.

They are in the process of remodeling the motel. During the day many construction workers were operating on the first floor doing the remodeling. It was noisy.

At time of making reservation I was not aware of the hotel being under renovation and they started banging and hammering right above us..then as I was taking a shower the shower head flew off the wall from the pressure and almost knocked me out huge lump on my head also there was wires hanging out of the wall

Breakfast was good. Hotel is being renovated and our room was so nice. The hotel even had that brand new "smell" to it. Fresh paint, carpet, fixtures. I was really impressed with all of it.

Parking lot needs better parking. I didn't care for having to park way on the south side away from the immediate building.
