Positives: the room was comfortable.
Negatives: the check in area could be nicer looking.

I stayed one night, just passing through.
Mike Solo Traveler June 12, 2023
Positives: There is a Wendy's, an Arby's, and multiple gas stations with convenience items across the street or sharing the same parking lot. The beds were comfortable (stiff, which is what I like). The A/C worked well although you can't set it to a temperature. Most of the staff were generally friendly and helpful. The motel is right of I-15 so it is convenient for travelers; and the sound of I-15 was not too bad with the windows closed. The mini-fridge worked perfectly - kept frozen things frozen and non-freezables cool; microwave worked well too. This was the 2nd least expensive place in the area. There is a clothes washer and a dryer for $1.50 each; they both worked well.
Negatives: Where do I start? The pool and hot tub were not working and it doesn't seem there is any intention of fixing it any time soon. The wifi was poor; I worked from my room over the 14 days I was there, and the video lagged and completely went out often - I had to warn my clients at the beginning of each meeting about the lag; I couldn't stream Netflix or Prime videos a few nights because the bandwidth was not high enough, though I could watch YouTube. When I walked in initially and was setting up, I noticed a plethora of cracker crumbs behind the beds and bed stand. The maintenance guy was down right rude, moody, and simply not nice at all. The sink and bathtub drains were disgusting with molding gunk in them. The drywall above the shower had some kind of gunk wiped across the walls. I usually like to take hot baths in hotels, but that was definitely not happening here for me. The bathroom smelled awful if I shut the door for any amount of time (mix of what seemed like cigarette smoke and must, even though I was in a non-smoking room). I burned scented candles to diffuse the stench. The front of the building says it is a tobacco free area, yet the entire upstairs appeared and smelled to be smoking rooms; the downstairs rooms had little non-smoking signs by the doors and the upstairs rooms didn't (so - smokers will be happy). The shower was hot for a very limited amount of time. It started cooling off right when I was almost done; but, I don't have long hair to shampoo or condition, and no shaving of legs, etc. Overall, it met my needs; I am simple and was looking for the lowest price. My mother, however, would not have even walked in the front door.

Disappointing
Jack Solo Traveler April 27, 2023
Positives: I was assigned a 1st floor room. Appeared to have been recently renovated. Clean, quiet, sufficient hot water, and air handler that didn't wake me during the night.
Negatives: Evening desk lady was pleasant. She asked if booking.com had made me aware of the $50 security deposit? No, but that wasn't an issue. She said I would have to return to the desk at check-out to get deposit back. The morning clerk was male. Either disinterested or incompetent, our interaction was frustrating. It took effort on my part to get the deposit back. Left me wondering how often deposits aren't refunded due to that clerk's indifference.

One bad clerk at an otherwise reasonable hotel
